This is our most popular tour and the original one which started the company in july 2010.
This is a different tour - not a commercial, generic, school visit type of tour. We welcome tequila aficionados and the simply curious alike.
The tour is made to be unique, educational and fun; like Mexico itself, a tour of the senses.
Our commitment is to take you behind the scenes and give you a firsthand look at how tequila is made, and demonstrate how to love it more.
Learn its ancestral history and traditions, discover its land and birth town and of course, taste this fine spirit – all in a relaxed, laid-back and unrushed atmosphere.
We select lesser-known places that are 100% Mexican and that cultivate a love for the land and a pride for their craft. We make it our mission to bring acknowledgment and recognition to their hard work and the excellence of their product.

We privilege smaller groups for greater attention
Tour size normally varies between 2 -7 persons, we keep our groups very small on purpose
Our tours start and finish in Guadalajara. Pick up from another location (ie: Tequila, Ajijic or Chapala) is available however will carry an additional cost.
Families travelling with children are welcome! We will dedicate a private transportation unit for your party. NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES APPLY.
The itinerary is listed below
- Pickup and drop-off from your place of stay (hotel, Airbnb, office, private residence...) located exclusively in Guadalajara, Zapopan or San Pedro Tlaquepaque (only with prior confirmed reservation;
- Roundtrip transportation between Guadalajara and Tequila, the drop-off will be at the as your departure point (at the door of your accommodation).
- Throughout the day you will visit two family-run distilleries for a step by step explanation of tequila’s making process – from seeding to bottling – with one of our knowledgeable and friendly guides (Salvador, Edgar, Yannet or Lizeth);
- The visit of both distilleries will be crowned with a tutored tasting of their tequilas (the production varies from one distillery to another and may include double or triple distilled tequilas and/or liquors and creams);
- For lunch (included) you will enjoy traditional dishes from Jalisco in the heart of the market. Vegetarians are welcome - your request will be prepared at the moment;
- A stroll through the town of Tequila to visit its main attractions.
- A stop at both a traditional and boutique store to taste, compare and differentiate tequilas from other producers;
- Tequila Gift Shop;
- An admission at either the Sauza Los Abuelos Museum or the Tequila National Museum (both subject to changing opening hours) to appreciate the evolution of the industry and deepen your knowledge;
- Cantarito, jarrito or cazuelita - the name is irrelevant because you'll enjoy the best version!
All items listed on the itinerary will be covered
however the order in which they appear is subject to change to allow for maximum flexibility.

Children (6-12) $85 USD
Infant under 5 years old travel for free
