Private Tequila Tour 

Itinerary:

·   Departure time between 9 to 10:30am from Guadalajara or Tequila;

·      Stop at the first distillery founded in 1904 by the Rosales Torres family and currently run by the third generation. You’ll get an in-depth tour of the installations and detailed explanation of the making process;

·     Professional tasting of 6 labels from the brand; including blanco, reposado, añelo, extra añejo and two high-proof blancos;

·     Visit of the second distillery – you’ll be able to compare installations and process and its impact on the flavors followed by a professional tasting of the full house line;

·   Stop in an agave field to take photographs and appreciate the agave landscape;

·      Lunch in a typical Mexican venue. See note for dietary restrictions / allergies;

·      Stroll through Tequila town to see its main attractions;

·      Courtesy cocktail offered at a specialized agave tasting bar;

·      Tour typically ends in Tequila around 5pm and return to Guadalajara.

Tour duration:

Typically, the tour starts at 9:30am and will end around 5pm in Tequila with an expected return in Guadalajara around 6:30pm. Times are approximate and vary according to traffic conditions.

A later starting time can be offered however it will likely have an impact on the possibility of concluding all items listed on the itinerary.

What is different from the group version?

A number of things - the distilleries visited are different as well as the lunch venue. While we carefully select those for the group tour, the ones chosen for the private tour are a notch above and exclusive access. 

The Tour is all-yours: photo stops, breaks and return time are at your convenience. Most importantly, you have the guide’s full attention; there’s no “sharing” with other people!

Unlike the group tour, we come directly for you and head straight to the first stop - you do not have to wait for the rest of the participants to be picked up.  You can also start the tour from Tequila.  

This tour is ideal for couples and small groups of friends, family and co-workers. Wedding Anniversary, honeymoon, birthday, bachelor(ette) party - whatever your reason to celebrate, we can help make your special occasion even more memorable.

Infants under 5 years old travel for free

Inclusions: everything listed on the itinerary – roundtrip transportation, distillery entrances and tastings, lunch, courtesy cocktail.

Exclusions: transportation is only for passengers and does not include transportation of luggage or other equipment.  

Group Size:

There is a minimum of 2 participants for this tour. There is no maximum of participants however the distilleries visited may vary depending on their capacity/availability to receive large groups of more than 20 persons.

Exclusions: For our guides’ safety, we do not offer pick or drop off outside of these locations.

We typically discourage doing a tour on your day of arrival/departure at the Guadalajara airport to the number of uncontrollable variables.

Vehicles used:

For reservations of up to 4 passengers, we typically use a Sedan vehicle seating one person in the front and three people in the back. We can upgrade to a larger vehicle at an extra cost.

Upwards of 5 passengers, a van with different seating capacity will be used depending on the total number of participants.

If you have specific requirements, these will be quoted separately and will be subject to availability.

Dietary Restrictions:

As much as possible, we support local vendors for an authentic taste of Mexican cuisine.

We want the experience to be as pleasant as possible for everyone so if you or anyone in your party has food allergies or specific dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance and we can choose the lunch venue consequently.

Important:

Please ensure you have read the itinerary content as well as the terms and conditions section before you book any of our Tequila Tour versions. The private tour version includes the visit to two artisanal distilleries who maintain craft process and produce high quality tequila. The choice of distilleries is subject to their availability and may change which is why we prefer not confirming in advance which locations will be visited.

The itinerary for the private tour is the one outlined above.  We do have a custom tour at extra cost than the private version, in which you can select specific distilleries you want to visit, subject to their availability and physical location. Cost will vary depending on the petitions of travellers. 

Visit to distilleries require previous bookings and it is not possible to accommodate last-minute or same-day requests for itinerary changes. 

No formal bookings will be made with distilleries or providers until a reservation has been made in our system and paid for.
