Horseback Riding & Tequila Tasting 

 This is a one-day trip and it includes the following:

• Hotel pickup and drop-off (in Guadalajara, Zapopan or Tlaquepaque).  Pickup and drop-off is also available from Tequila.

• Roundtrip transportation between Guadalajara and Tequila (see note);

• 45 minutes of horseback riding through the agave fields of a former real hacienda located on the outskirts of Amatitán;

• Visit of two (2)  family-runned distilleries for a step by step explanation of tequila’s making process – from cooking to fermentation to distillation to bottling;

• Tutored tasting of blanco, reposado and añejo tequilas;

• Lunch at the heart of the market (traditional Mexican Cuisine). Vegetarians are welcome - your request will be prepared at the moment;

• A stroll through the town of Tequila to visit its main attractions;

• More tequila tasting at traditional and boutique stores;

• Jose Cuervo Gift Shop; 

• An entry at either the Sauza Los Abuelos Museum or the Tequila National Museum (subject to changing opening hours) to appreciate the evolution of the industry and deepen your knowledge;

• On the way to/from Tequila, amazing views of the agave landscape and various photo opportunities – namely in a mature agave field.

Bilingual Tour: offered in both English & Spanish.

Duration: approx. 7-8 hours (depending on traffic conditions upon return)

** A MINIMUM OF 2 PARTICIPANTS IS REQUIRED**

**Requirements:***

• Good physical condition;
• No fear of horses;
• Ability to mount and dismount on a horse unassisted (Adults);
• Ability to ride on varied terrain.

As previously mentioned, beginners are welcome but for your own safety and enjoyment, and also for the safety and enjoyment of the horse and other members of the riding group, we kindly ask that you be realistic as to the requirements set out above and your capacity in meeting them.  

IMPORTANT:  The weather conditions are outside of our control, therefore it is your responsibility to check the weather report for the morning of the tour to find out what to wear.  

There will be no cancellation!  Please note that the rainy season is roughly from June to October and that mornings are generally cool through November to January.

The horse riding experience is provided by an authorized operator, therefore you will have to sign a discharge with them to take part in the activity.  

NO BLACK OUT DATES: Our tequila Tours are available all around the year.  We recommend reserving in advance for weekends and special Holidays.
